Are you a professional based in France? PICTO Online supports you in the gradual rollout of electronic invoicing organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. It will become mandatory from September 1, 2026 for large companies and mid-sized enterprises (ETI), and then from September 1, 2027 for small and medium-sized businesses, including micro-enterprises (self-employed).
We invite you to prepare now for this major change by providing the following information in your PICTO Online account:
Your company name must be provided. This information is not verified.
Your SIREN and SIRET numbers are mandatory as part of the gradual rollout of electronic invoicing by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. A SIRET number consists of 14 digits, which include your SIREN number (9 digits) and a 5-digit classification number.
Example: the company Dupond SARL has the SIREN 321 456 789. Its head office has the SIRET 321 456 789 00022 and its sales office has the SIRET 321 456 789 00033. The SIREN is identical, only the last 5 digits change.
An approved platform (PA) is a service provider registered by the State that allows electronic invoices to be received, transmitted, and checked. Your PA has given you an electronic invoicing number to identify you.
This is an individual identification number assigned to businesses subject to VAT and based within the European Union.
In France, the intra-community VAT number consists of 13 characters: the code FR, a 2-digit computer key, and the company's SIREN number (9 digits).
The intra-community VAT number helps ensure the security of exchanges between taxable persons within the European Union. This number is mandatory for European VAT tax management and must appear on companies' invoices.
This information is verified.
Note: For self-employed individuals, the intra-community VAT number is not mandatory as long as your revenue does not exceed the VAT exemption threshold over a calendar year. The intra-community VAT number is, however, mandatory if your billing address is located in a European Union country.
When creating your account, on the "Business customer" registration form or via the "I am a professional" checkbox, provide your company name, your SIREN, SIRET, and intra-community VAT numbers, as well as your electronic invoicing number.
Important: the intra-community VAT number is automatically verified after the registration form is submitted. If any information is missing or incorrect, an error message will appear in the relevant field(s). You will remain on the registration page to make the necessary corrections, then submit again.
If you do not have these numbers, uncheck the "I am a professional" box and continue with your registration.
Once registered, you can still contact us or provide this information from your customer account area by clicking "My account."
Once logged in, from your customer account area, click "My account" in the top left.
In the "Contact information" section, check the "I am a professional" box.
Provide your company name, your SIREN, SIRET, and intra-community VAT numbers, as well as your electronic invoicing number, then confirm.
The intra-community VAT number is automatically verified and validated. If any information is missing or incorrect, an error message will appear in the relevant field(s).
Be careful not to leave spaces between the digits.
If your billing address is not in France, but in a European Union country, the SIREN and SIRET fields are not offered. Only the intra-community VAT number needs to be provided, along with the "Electronic invoice address" field if it applies to you. See our help page on intra-community VAT exemption for European Union countries: learn more
If your billing address is outside the European Union, the SIREN, SIRET, and intra-community VAT number fields are not offered, but you can still identify yourself as a professional and provide your company name.
