The photograph is first mounted onto a 1mm aluminium plate and then placed beneath a 3mm-thick sheet of high-quality acrylic (Plexiglas), all of which is set within a bespoke American-style frame.
When viewed from the front, the American-style frame features a visible gap of 5 to 7 mm between the print and its frame. It is this gap that creates the illusion of an image floating within its frame, ideal for maximising the depth of your images.
All materials used for this frame ensure optimal preservation of your print.
The wood used comes from a PEFC-certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) supply chain, which ensures the protection and sustainable management of forests worldwide.
The Black and White finishes are painted wood, whilst the Wenge is genuine wood veneer glued to the wooden frame.
The frame profile for the American-style frame and Plexicollage has a front width of 7 mm and a depth of 40 to 45 mm (stepped profile).
All our frame profiles for American-style frames and Plexicollage are of the ‘staircase’ style.
The maximum frame size is 125 x 240 cm; the maximum possible print size is 111 x 236 cm.
