Appearance of the canvas edges
We offer a choice of 3 options for the appearance of the canvas edges:
- Image extension: Your image is enlarged to cover the edges of the frame. The folded parts of your image will only be visible on the sides.
- Mirror printing: Your image is mirrored on the sides. This effect preserves the integrity of your image whilst extending its design onto the sides.
- White: The sides are not printed and remain white.

Wooden Frame
To stretch the canvas, two types of wooden frames are available; they are made to measure upon receipt of your order.
- 20x50 mm wooden frame: the dimensions are 20 mm (thickness) by 50 mm (width).
- 25x65 mm wooden frame: the dimensions are 25 mm (thickness) by 65 mm (width).
We mount the canvas onto the frame in our workshop.
The maximum size for a canvas with a 25x65 mm wooden frame is 130 x 130 cm; please do not hesitate to contact us for any larger sizes.
When configuring your order, you can also choose not to have a wooden frame; the canvas edges will no longer be visible. If you wish to have them, you will need to add them to your image or using our ‘Margin’ tool.
Printing process
Using an Epson P20 000 printer, your photo is printed using very high-quality pigment inkjet on an art paper of the canvas type: Hahnemühle Canvas Artist 340g.
- Highly durable, the Tetenal Spectrajet Papier Canvas Premium 350g is a canvas made from a blend of cotton and polyester.
- The pigment inks ensure the print’s long-lasting quality and rich colour.
- The printed canvas is stretched and mounted by us onto a custom-made wooden frame.
If you have already prepared your image, you can also have prints made on Hahnemühle Canvas Artist 340g canvas without a wooden frame and without added edge finishing directly through our Photo Printing services: Pigment Inkjet and Black and White Printing.
To create a very large canvas, we offer printing on ‘canvas’-style polyester canvas in very large formats using a SWISSQ NYALA UV printer.
- Very large canvas printing is reserved for very large formats; printing on canvas alone without a wooden frame starts from 140 x 300 cm up to 300 x 1000 cm!
For dimensions smaller than 130 x 250 cm, we recommend pigment inkjet printing. - The substrate is a 385 gsm polyester ‘canvas’ type fabric.
- The printing process, which uses UV lamps to cure the inks on the substrate, ensures weather resistance for outdoor use.
