The Nielsen range available on the Picto Online platform is constantly expanding! We are delighted to announce the arrival of a brand new aluminium frame, the result of a joint collaboration between the manufacturer and the PICTO laboratory. Designed for the most discerning photographers, it features a raised edge, creating a gap between the print and the protective glass.
This is the spring’s latest innovation in photo frames: the bespoke Nielsen range is expanded with the new 12/13 profile, featuring a slim aluminium spacer that creates a gap between the print and the protective glass, offering a sense of depth and a more elegant presentation of the image.
This project arose from a joint discussion during the Picto Lab residency, initiated by the Picto Foundation. As a partner in this programme, Nielsen enables the winning photographer to receive support from the frame manufacturer. In 2024, the winner, Sandrine Marc, wanted a specific frame featuring a raised edge between the surface of the print and that of the protective glass. At the time, Nielsen did not yet have a framing solution capable of meeting this requirement. Today, with the introduction of the 12/13 profile, you can finally achieve this type of finish.
For example, a 30 × 40 cm print framed with the Aluminium 12 profile is available for €150.73*, compared to €189.40* for the Box. A more affordable alternative, whilst retaining a raised edge and a high-end finish.
On this model, the photographic print is presented full-frame, without a mat. It is, however, possible to produce the print with a wrap-around border, which can be applied directly via our platform. Each frame is made to measure, up to a maximum size of 80 × 120 cm.
This new made-to-measure aluminium frame is available in three colours: matt anodised black, matt white and polished silver. It is also possible to combine different colours for the profile and the frame surround. Other colours are available on request from our sales team by clicking here.
