Printing your photographs directly onto a rigid Dibond panel is one of the essential solutions when organising an outdoor exhibition. PICTO laboratories have recently started offering an innovative, fully recyclable aluminium material that provides a more environmentally friendly alternative.

 

Dibond is a widely used material in the production of photographic print substrates for outdoor exhibitions. Comprising a black polyethylene core sandwiched between two aluminium sheets, it is highly durable despite its light weight. However, despite its widespread use, its composition means it cannot be recycled: whilst its robustness allows the same exhibition to be displayed on multiple occasions, the prints eventually become damaged over time and are then destined for disposal. To address this issue, there is now a new material made from 100 per cent aluminium, which can be fully recycled once it has served its purpose.
